Materials and perspectiv

Hello,

I just purchased Amapi 7.5 and I have to questions:

1. I do NOT get any materials in the thubnail windos in the renderroom - it says emty in every field. I looked in the manual where I can see a sreendump with LOTS off thubnail. Do I miss anything?

2. How can I control the degree of perspektive. I seems I only have the isometri and one single perspektiv view to choose from. Is there a way I can make a wide-angle view for instance?

Best regards

If you made a custum install, perhaps you miss the material install ?
Are you on macintosh and OSX ? (you must open the package and get the material inside if you are on this OS)

Sorry, but you can't change the perspective angle, there is no "real" camera in Amapi...

Thanks for your answer.

I downloaded Amapi 7.5 from the homepage off Eovia. I got Carrara 3.0 as well and som materials for Carrara, but I cant find any materials for Amapi amd I can't import any from the to other downloads!

So I am stuck with emty materialslists - do you have an idea?

Best regards

Forgot the rendering in Amapi itself.. the rendering engine is really poor. You can only create simple shaders with colors, specular, transparency, but no mapping.

About Carrara, you didn't answer about your system. Are you on Macintosh or PC ?
I'm not sure that the Carrara Demo have a set of shaders include...

Hey,

Thanks again for your answer - Eovia don't reply to any mail's at all!?

Well, I use a Mac G5, System 10.3.6. I did not get a CD, because I bought Amapi 7.5 on the net. So I am kind off lost since I can't give up on the idea of render in Amapi.

But then again - let's say I will do it in Carrara 3.0 that comes with the download - thats frustrating because I now have to learn TO new programs.

Therefore I ask if you could giv me a hint where to find the missing materials - I found a folder inside the Amapi folder named materials - but it's emty - what are the materials name suffix?

Best regards

Claus
