Dynamic Symmetry Modeling

On the features page for Amapi Designer there is a slide showing how a working model can have both a smoothed clone and a symmetrical clone. I haven't been able to make this work. Am I wrong in my understanding that it is possible to work on the unsubdivided base model and watch the clone dynamically update allowing one to see how the model will appear after subdivision or smoothing?

Create your clone, apply a smooth. It will appears on both models. Now, remove the smooth on one clone (remove the last operation in the DG panel) and you will have an unsmooth model where you can work and the final result to control the final result

hi conte,
as totyo said above create the clone by using the mirror tool and making sure sure you choose the clone option, smooth the mesh then click on your original half and click on the arrow in the DG panel.

the clone should stay smooth but your original should revert back to its last level of DG ie unsmoothed, now any work done on the original will update on the clone.
