| Chamfering
Please excuse my frequent posts. I am finding that the "documentation" for this program is awful. Not only are the tool descriptions incomplete, page references are incorrect. This is totally unacceptable for a program at this price level. I wish I had purchased Rhino instead. Now for my question: When chamfering several different points on a polyline, I cannot seem to select a different radius for each point. Said differently, when I chamfer one point, it applies the same radius to all other points I select to chamfer. Can individual chamfers be set ? or are the chamfer settings global for a given polyline ? thanks ! |

Hi Amapi.net, this is my first post here. I wonder if we are talking about the same thing. It seems that dynamic chamfering works with a polyline here. It will also work with a nurbs controlled polyline, error messages pop up and the adjustment arrows don't display but the chamfers show and can be adjusted. can someone post a screen cap of the issue not working? wayne k guam usa |

Yes, Wayne that's true, i haven't think to use this option on polylign. But doesn't work for a shape : Make a cube, chanfer to 1.5 and after change to 0.75 the top edge. Make a cube, chanfer to 1.5 edge you want. Collapse DG, chanfer to 0.75 the top edge. Of course you don't have the same result, because local radius is for make evolutif chanfer. (and it's not really interesting, because we can change the local chanfer radiusonly on hard edge) |
