Basic Help Request - Exporting jpegs

Please forgive my inexperience. I would like to make a jpeg of my rendered object. Can this be done directly from Amapi 7, or do I need to export it to an intermediate program such as illustrator ? Thanks

Menu render->render to file ...
You can choose jpg format.

But just go to the rendering room befor to set params of the rendering.
