points scale problems - Polyloop

possible bug.

in several tutorials i notice the use of the scale tool to scale points on an axis, ie scale them to zero.
all the tuts use the X axis to do this.

recently i needed to do this same function on the Y & Z axis however im unable to enter a value in the values box.
other than the X axis.

the up down arrows work ok but dont go to zero, same if i constrain axis and drag with the cursor.

anybody else notice this ?

Hum, just tested with the Y and Z axis without any problems. But did you use a constraint (space bar) before entering a value ?

hi Thomas, i tried both local and global scaling of a cube with four points selected.

i tried entering a value in the the Y & Z axis field boxes with no success.

i then tried constraining the axis and entering a value, again no success.

i can however enter a value in the X axis field.

everytime i try and select the Y & Z fields it just selects the X axis only.

i can scale using the cursor and the spacebar but its not very accurate.

ill assume since yours works its a bad or corrupt install and uninstall the program and reinstall it with the latest patch.

hi Thomas ive tried doing the same thing with all versions of amapi from 4 to pro and i get the same thing so its most likely a problem at my end ie my computer .

im also having problems with other field boxes as well, same thing no Y Z functions.

i shall uninstall all of them and reinstall all of them and all the the patches at the weekend.
