| Hand Dryer tutorial ![]() http://www.notaw.com/tutorials/dryer/ has a nice Hand Dryer tutorial for Rhino 3D. It works great with Amapi 7 Pro, too.

totyo are you serious that all Rhino tuts work with amapi pro? i use cobalt for my product design and just tested out the amapi demo today and encountered many issues and problems like crashes and split edges which prevented further modeling tools like extrusion. unfortunatly i never used rhino since its not a solid modeler as well like cobalt. i am highly interested in your opinion since amapi has a complet different price tag and might be a way to go for some students i know. since i studied at the uwstout in wi usa and i will study at the bowling green state university where i where i will continue teaching 3d in metal design for my professor assitant position i could imagine amapi will fit in pretty good. claas |

from what i have heared is that rhino3d creates to dense poly meshes when you export your nurbs models. for few projects i was able to use cobalt and it was pretty good in terms of data amount. anyway cobalt is also a complet different beast. when you have a 3d printer who can read nativly nurbs than you dont need to convert it into polygones similar like reyes renderer who can render nurbs directly without converting. do you have a good list of rhino tuts? i realy would like to try out the comparision how amapi fits in! i looked for links but didnot realy find any good stuff! claas |

f.ip2 : well, not all tutorials works exactly for Amapi, but most (because some tools are not really the same or available in Amapi). When you have some errors messages, it's perhaps because your selection are not good (with the chamfer)... At last, the 7.15 is really better for the hamfer and errors you may encounter while modeling. Having split edge ? do you have some exemples ? |
