| Amapi 6.1
Hello, I have Amapi 6.1 and Carrara 3.03. I was wondering if Amapi Designer 7 is a better modeler than Amapi 6? I want to use Amapi just to create models then export to Carrara to texture/animate/render. Can you create hi-res meshes with Amapi 6? Thanks for making an English version of this forum. |

You're welcome for the forum ![]() Yes, of course you can create hi res models with Amapi 6 as Amapi 7. If you are looking for hudge new functions in Amapi Designer 7, I have to stop you.. it's in fact as close as Amapi 6 but (and it's a nice "but") the display is now in full openGL and, it's really faster to know what you model, the dynamic geometry is now supported by allmost all the tools, you have the clone function, editable sweep/extrusion, extended cut tool and more... I can't anymore go back to Amapi 6 now that I use Amapi 7.. and when I have to teach Amapi 6, I think I go back to hell... brrrrr ! About the export with Carrara 3, no problems |
