| Basic Modeling question
Ok. Here's my question. I've built a 5 piece drumkit with Hexagon 2. The problem is that it takes a great deal of time to load. Too long in my opinion. Anoyingly long. Now, I didn't "sculpt" this model from one or two shapes. I built it with many different primatives welded together. Each drum containing say 23 different primatives. Say, 5 drums in the model. Each drum stand is roughly13 different primatives. I'll just say the entire kit is composed of like 200 primatives. Many are welded together so, cut it down to like 30 objects if you would consider every welded group of primatives an object of its own. I'm suspicious that I should be sculpting from a few primatives instead of building with many. Can anyone comfirm this? |

Well I missed this when you posted, so apologies for that. It does sound like your model is too heavy but without seeing the wire frame it's difficult to know exactly what you've done. Please post a screen shot of your model. How many polygons do you have in the file?
