I dont want to open another thread so Ill post here my next question. When I import an .dxf file from Autocad to Hexagon I have this problem that my curves that are modeled in z direction dont show in Hex as they where. They are sudenly lying on the ground plane?!?! See attach pic. How can I define around wich point will my object rotate? Like in the pic. I want it to orient around eg. point A |

Right-click near your manipulator. A pop-up will appear. At the top of the pop-up one of the choices is to set rotation point, choose this then click on the point you wish to rotate around. Later you can call the popup again and reset the rotation point back to its origin (center of your model or line) This pop-up has many functions that are very useful during the course of building your model. When you import an object there are options for setting the orientation when you call the import command. |

I had the same problem in the past, it most likely has to do with the Dynamic Geometry of the object. To fix it, be sure you're at the lowest level of subdiv (0) and click the little lightning bolt in the Dynamic Geometry panel.
