| [Hexagon]How to make a torx head on a screw?
Stumped here. I have created the body and the threads of a flat topped torx screw.. I have not a clue on how to make the torx shape. ty

Not necessarily the only way to do it, but the way I would do it. 1. Import AI File of desired Shape (adobe illustrator format) 2. Choose Extrude Surface 3. Choose Axial Extrude 4. Chose Close 5. Shows Closed "AI" Star 6. Line up Closed Star on desired Surface 7. Choose Boolean Operation 8. Boolean cut complete Graphics attached for visual look |

What fun! You can do the "drawing" with lines in Hexagon (Carrara also). You don't really have to go the long AI way. Lone gunmans way is the best, and I should have thought of it, if you dont have the right choices of edges to sellect for this you can change/increase the number of vertices /edges as you need. As LG indicates, you can go back to those top and bottom edges and add a little fillet. (C6Pro really is VERY good! Even if you don't have Hexagon.) |
