if you love car design just have a look there http://www.carbodydesign.com/, and there is a 3D section with tutorials. That said, it can be hard to use tutorials that have not been done for your software, even if reading them can give hints or best practices .

thanks pete, any info is useful, im only trying to improve my modeling skils, and modeling something well known as say a car is harder, and i want to model my car as well... i was thinking of a rhino to xsi pipeline, but nurbs from rhino to xsi is nearly impossible.. anyone tried amapi to xsi nurbs...i converted a nurbs to poly in rhino.. got that into xsi no problem.. but high poly cout when set to high setting on export. i know xsi nurbs are not as good as say 3dsmax... anyone have experience... |

That beetle tutorial looks good but what the heck is a “Surf.tendues” or “Double casing”. Thats the problem with the auto translation. It doesn't always work out well enough. Cheers Mike R

If you look at the images, I think this is probably one of the most helpful tutes Amapi 7.5 owners could look into. Many modeling techniques/problems seem to have been covered. The automated translation wasn't good. I got stuck in many places. I'd love to see a proper translation of it. | |
