Dissolve - Polyloop

After I select a loop and use dissolve selection the segments are removed but the vertices where they crossed the perpendicular lines remain. Is there a way to dissolve lines with vertices together in one operation or do you have to go back and select these stray vertices and dissolve again?

It depends of your geometry. In some cases, the vertices will be removed, in other cases, not (most of the time when the edge to be dissolve share two non coplanar faces).
