| Box modeling ![]() | Hmmm... Siggraph will be in August. The public beta will be at the end of the month or early July. That means by the time it will be shown at Siggraph, the bugs have already been quashed. Which means the final version will likely to be released in August or September. I'm not in a hurry, though, but can't wait to play with the beta. I could tolerate some bugs here and there. No application is perfect. Not a single app I could think of is bug-free. Bring it on! Let's do some serious modeling with the beta.![]() |

| Always learning new stuff ![]() | I hope to be able to post some more screenshots and movies soon, but currently, I'm far from the ofice until tomorrow for an important trade show around Anime Studio with a very limited internet access (and when it works...) and also, I'm working hard to finish a lot of stuf around Amapi for this public beta. |

| Extrusion ![]() | I hope you guys hurry cause with MOI finn'n to drop soon, peeps are ready to purchase NOW since it's so good! I'm interested in MOI as well but Amapi 8 might tilt my wallet if it's more polygon friendly with exporting its NURBS objects. After purchasing MOI, my thirst would be satisfied for a while (and I'm sure a few others would feel this way as well...) -Will

| Box modeling ![]() | I read somewhere that the MOI developer was not really selling it to the public. Instead, he's waiting for Google to gobble it up for a hefty sum just like SketchUp was devoured. That's true. MOI is MOI, Amapi is Amapi. MOI is good I agree with that. But don't forget that MOI has no poly tools. Amapi has lots of goodies: The powerful Dynamic Geometry, Universal Manipulator, the swiping when dropping the tool, Stretch tool, and lots more. My suggestion: buy them both. ![]() |

| Doodlin' Dude ![]() | As Thomas said... Moi is Moi and Amapi is Amapi. I have had and used Rhino for years (including the current release) and I don't see any problems with having both Rhino and Amapi. I am looking forward to the new release of Amapi, particularly because IMO the interface is more user-friendly and it has a lot of nice new features. Moi looks good, but seems redundant if you already have Rhino. If Thomas has his hand in developing Amapi, it has to be gold. |

| Doodlin' Dude ![]() | If they could roll Hexagon, Rhino, MudBox, ZBrush, Carrara, and Ultimate UnWrap all into one it would be great. Right now it might be called Blender, but it would also have to have a manageable learning curve and an interface that was understandable.... Dream, dream, dream.... One thing is for sure - - 3D is getting cooler day-by-day, and Amapi plays a big roll in the process. ![]() |
