We welcome any news related to Amapi8. Even if it is not “the news” that we are looking forward to most.

Thanks Thomas.

A question about export format:

if i remembr well Amapi (v.5?) used to export to Renderman (.rib), is there any luck that the Renderman format appears again in a next version of Amapi (v.8.x)?

It would be cool for quality rendering

Regards

The whole Amapi Dev'Team. Check the news section of the forum.
Anyway, I don't know the future of Amapi, perhaps e frontier will finish the product and release it.

Sorry, I found already this thread

That's a real shame.
You guys did a lot of good things, and I hope all you will find a job appropriate to your level.

Didn't e-frontier have a special offer to users? Will they keep their word on it?

Hi,

Thomas - I'm shocked by the thread above, sorry that you lost your "baby". 11 years is a lot and then the way they let you go ... no, not nice.

I hope you guys find something nice.

Btw:
I bought Amapi 7.52 (as an Update) because I like to update to version 8. But when the the winning team had to go - will there be still updates, fixes etc.? There enough developer for amapi still there? No, I'm not really happy to read that!

But I wish you all the best for your future Thomas!

kind regards
wal

krautinator, i deleted your post , my apologies
whilst i understand your view site/software company bashing is not tolerated here.
Thomas has already said hes on good terms with e-frontier so your post serves no one at this time.

regards

Ah it's alright just expressing my own outrage at this. I'm sure that he'll find a just as good, if not better job with another software company somewhere. Hopefully this can at least open new opportunities for him.

Good luck on the job hunt.
