This is going to feel silly, but... When this new Amapi is released, would you care to produce a second verdion of the manual PDF repaginated to fit two vertical pages into an horizontal one? The trees and my printer would be grateful (ink manufacturers will put a horse head on your bed or something, of course.). I know one usually can setup such a print job, but usually the manual is designed in such a way that too much page space is wasted when attempting that.

The new manul is in A5 format for a page (14.8 x 21 cm). You can put two pages on a 4 (not very far of the letter size) and doing it recto verso. It's a green way to print it

Dual colomn is cool for printing, but horrible to read on a screen....

Well, it would be interesting to know how Amapi will handle UV mapping and unwrapping... without going too deep maybe this would be permitted for you to tell.

1) Afterward, are there something changed (e.g. layout, icons, etc.) in renewed 3D view which posted in 18/June?

2) If possible, animated gif/screenshot of working process that uses new/improved feature would be appreciated.

Any news on the Render room of Amapi 8. Has it been removed or improved?

I couldn't see any info on Amapi.net

The Render room may not be the best renderer on planet earth. But it gives a good preview for models with basic amapi materials!

I like it.

did they still forget us. HHhheelllllllllllllloooooooooO

We are working on a way to solve that problem. But perhaps it won't be for Amapi 8.0 but Amapi 8.x. It's not the main purpose of Amapi, but it's important and we know it!

Does the UI work well with a tablet or do I still need hand on keyboard?

I like the way Hexagon works with a tablet

Corzair: If it was ok with Hexagon, then, it should be ok with Amapi 8

Why is e-frontier keeping silent concerning release of Amapi8?

On Polyloop, Thomas is sincerely answering to various and severe inquiries from Amapi users who are looking forward to release of Amapi8.
And Thomas also tries to give us information related to Amapi8 as much as possible.

On the other hand, even the previous notice concerning Amapi8 is not yet announced from e-frontier. They keep completely silent at present besides $149 special offer.
It’s usual that software companies advertise new/improved features of their upgrade products grandly for promotion to their customers before releasing.
And they try to increase customer’s expectations to it.

If Amapi8 is released officially in around September, I think it’s a time for e-frontier users to receive Pre-Order offer from e-frontier. To our regret, we have not received it yet.

Judging from these situations, I speculate that the official release of Amapi8 is postponed after October.
I hope this is groundless fear.

syuichi

P.S. I assume Thomas (Develop team) has a hard time to fix bugs of Amapi8.
I’d really like to install Amapi8 as soon as possible, but I will wait patiently for Amapi8 to be fixed firmly.
Thanks Thomas.

Syuichi, Thomas mentioned there will be a public beta before release. He also mentioned in another thread there would be big news in about one week. So relax, and i think you will hear something soon...
