It is almost like DAZ has a freak relative hidden in their basement that they would rather not mention at all.

Hey DAZ how's...you know? ... ... ... Hey DAZ—are you still there? ... ... ... Oh, I'm sorry, I understand, you don't want to talk about it.

People can continue to use the ghost of Hexagon past. After all Hexagon is still a good program even with its flaws.

If DAZ only would fix what needs to be fixed Hexagon would be great as it is even if not developed further. Which looks to be the most likely senario. The other senario is to put a fork in it because it is done, dead, finished.

I agree that things are boring and difficult to care about once they die. They just lie there, start to smell, invite maggots, turn to dust and eventually blow away.

Hehe, everyone's getting 2D illness around lately. ;)
Worst case scenerio: Hex dies, Daz keeps pushing Vicki-4,5,6,7 etc... No one learns anything or gets better, an asteroid hits Earth and we all go extinct and the sun blows up and all sorts of other nasty things happen. In the end there's still a lot of choices and Amapi just might be Orange instead of Red. Now that would make my day!
(I never did like the red very much)...

That is the main lesson from all of this DAZ this and that.

In the end there's still a lot of choices.

I am happy that I didn't marry her or have children. It is so much easier breaking-up this way.

Now that makes my day!

Steama,

I have made many post like your in these forums. I disagree with what you were told by the CEO of Daz because Daz is a smack company. I must call a spade a spade. If Adobe were to purchase Carrara and Hexagon sales would double by default. Adobe could also work very tight integration for Carrara and After Effects. Many After Effects user would opt to buy Carrara as thier 3-D program of choice by default. Sales of Carrara would be huge if AE users received a 30% discount. Over time some user might switch from Carrara to 3DS MAX but I doubt it. Adobe wants to have the best software for broadcast and film. Under Adobe Carrara could rival 3DS Max and Maya but I know it will not happen under the Daz Doll House. We can only hope Daz will sell both Carrara and Hexagon ASAP.

With all these millions of posts why not just wait and see--obviously ranting is not having any effect where it counts,

Think of all the productive 3D time wasted on this type of thread----no more from me.

Bob Stockwell was not the CEO of DAZ but the Marketing VP. Dan Farr is the CEO. I am with you that DAZ is a smack company as far as 3D software development goes, however, if you are into 3D content I do not think any other company does it better than DAZ. I also agree with you that there is plenty of room for low-cost modelers in the 3D landscape. I just do not think anything substancial will ever happen with Hexagon while in DAZ hands beyond some kind of bandaid fix. I would also be shocked if a fix were even done well at all (if we ever see one). DAZ is the origin of and deserves all the negative turgid talk.

Hex is hidden in the DAZ basement until people forget about it. Hex is dead.

I give DAZ a no confidence vote.

After a long brainstorming :

In fact, I don't care of what will become of Hexagon, it is just a question of respect about customers. DAZ must respect the customers and the only way is to fix the main bugs with an update, nothing more. We 'd better associate us to sign an online petition to claim this update they promise months ago.

There is NO Hex Team!

Yes, this thread is a waste and was a waste from its conception. Wondering about the future of Hex in anyway is a total waste.

What happens, happens. Back to real 3D.

Simply ban or delete any speculatory thread related to what DAZ is or is not doing as far as application development? It is obviously a VERY DISTURBING topic to forum members.

I'm just plain old disturbed!
