Mark, any updates to your house? a final render??

well here is my second attempt using Hex for a building. I know, I know, it's pretty basic, but I modeled it in about 2 hours, and textured it in Carrara, in less than an hour. only the roof is UV mapped, for the shingles.

I still don't have my POV just right, but I think it's close enough for this project. it's just showing a new roof and minor facade changes. I probably could have just done the whole thing in photoshop, but this was a good excuse to use Hex

Nice work!

Nothing new from me. I can't release final renders of the project until the client broadcasts... :-/

Well certainly the view port image set up makes thing difficult to model. Unless of course you have photoshop where you can line up you reference images for modeling. Add a snapping grid plus tools based on Amapi. Don't think there is any reason why you could not model just as tight. I guess Pete Extreme's work showcases that answer. - G

Mark,

Do you still have time to consider an architectural tutorial?

Of course I'm still planning on it. Now I just need to work on the time to get it done. ;)
