Hello 3d Gurus & Gurettes, Im running into issues with Hexagon 2.01 under OSX intel and was wondering if you could help me with 2 problems. BTW Installing 2.1 renders Hexagon useless. Problem 1 From one of the tutorials: I create a poly grid, teslate into quad and add thickness then validate. Problem is that i go into poly mode to select the frame pollies but i cannot select any of the new polies created, only the original teslated grid pollies (4). Problem 2 I tried this with VBO on and off. My shadow and ambient occlusion views dont work correctly. I see a very contrasted and broken shadow (looks faceted). Ambient occlusion is even worse, it looks like i rolled the object over black ink, not the smooth shading i was expecting. Thanks in advance for any suggestions, comments, etc... |

not really sure about #1, I can't say that I have had that problem as for #2 My G5 is not intell, but in H2.1 I can't work at all with ambient occlusion on. it just crashes repetitively... as you said it is useless. personally I dont work with anything higher than "smoothed solid". with the "light map off" and "normal display" under AO. It's the only way i've ever been able to work without getting internal errors every few minutes. The only solution for me is to turn AO off |
