Though Silo is not installed in my PC, these tutorials are very interesting and instructive to me.
I saved these links. I’ll try to do the same process by modo.

Thank you Mox! I don't have Silo so I tried reproducing your steps (loosely) in Hexagon with some success. Well, I'm happy with it anyway
I learned a lot and tried something new using the array technique (copy on support in Hex). Anyway, I went ahead and uv mapped and textured mine in Carrara for fun and experience.
