Help Needed (Modeling Request)

I feel bad making this request, since I havent been a long time member here and dont know everybody. But here goes. My wife has been asking me for a long time to make 3D Models of my two FurKids However my modeling skills and nill and I wouldnt even know where to begin. I've seen the amazing talent here, like the Toon Rat Challenge: http://forums.polyloop.net/showthread.php?t=8134

What is the purpose of these models you ask? Well every on holidays when we send out cards we usualy have some kind of picture of them in various poses and scenes. It would be nice to be able to pose them in Carrara and render any kind of imaginable scene.

Here are two side shots of them.

Now for source material. I also have Close up their faces, opposite side shots, Top Shots, which should cover all angles and make the patterns clear.

These pictures were taken with a Canon Rebel XT @ 5 Mega Pixels.

The two pictures below were shrunk for easier browser vewing. I can provide larger sized photos for reference.

My wife and I would really appreciate it if it could be done.

Yes I have seen that....I've actually seen a couple more, but they are not true Dachshunds. They have basically taken the DOG preset in Poser which I think is a variation of Beagle and something else and Shrunk the Legs and stretched the body.

If you look at the two photos of Pixel and Pogo you can see they have nice shapes to them.

I'd love to see what some of the talented people here could do.
