Hexagon Vista Problem - Polyloop

Hi all!!!! I haven't posted in a long time and I could not figure what a question like this would go. Please excuss me.

I recently purchased a new laptop to replace my aging desktop (9 years old) My Desktop have Windows XP and my new laptop has Vista (I had no choice in op systems for laptop) When I went to install Hexagon on my laptop, I downloaded the updates from Daz. I can get the first update to work fine. But the second update tells me Hexagon in not installed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but Hexagon 2.01 will not update. Hexagon 1.2 works ok but I would like to continue to install all the updates. The other updates will not work because they do not see Hexagon 2.0. I have asked Daz for help but they have yet to respond. Anyone have any ideals as to what I can do? Thanks

Sorry to hear about your problems. Seems like Vista creates all sorts of issues. I'm still on XP but hopefully someone can help you.

Just to keep everyone informed, Daz has yet to respond to my problem. I even when as far as re-imaging my harddrive back to factory default and installed Hexagon fresh. I still can only update the first patch. The next patch tells me Hexagon is not install. I was even running Hexagon and tried the next patch and the computer had the nerve to tell me it was not installed. If Daz ever replies, I'll let you know what they say.

I might be wrong here, but if you're trying to update Hexagon from version 1.x to 2.x you will need to buy an upgrade.
I think the free updates on DAZ site are only for minor versions, i.e. from 2.0 to 2.1.

You can find an upgrade from Hexagon 1.x to 2.5 here: http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/shop/itemde...4&cat=339&_m=d
and it costs $49.
