| Pixar want to hire me! ![]() | Commodore 64 - 25 years old today This was my first computer - I remember the excitement of this new technology. No internet, no hard drive, no floppy disk, no monitor, just a TV. Thirty minutes to load a 32K game from a cassette tape! Ahh those were the days ![]() http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2704,2231499,00.asp

| Pixar want to hire me! ![]() | My favourites were the text adventures, the first one I really loved was Snowball by Level 9. I just found a review online http://www.crashonline.org.uk/06/snowbal.htm But I especially liked the Zork series from Infocom. They called their games 'interactive fiction' and they had a great parser that let you type proper sentences (or nearly anyway ). I bought a 5 1/4 inch floppy disk drive just to play them! You can still get them for PC (and for free too) on the web.http://www.infocom-if.org/downloads/downloads.html

| Extrusion ![]() | Think we should forbid these messages that makes us feel so old! Can remember when my brother splashed out on one of the first Apples - connected to the TV and taping software from the radio. We were so excited when the soft floppy arived - good heavons, that was progress! Several years later I got a Commodore too - but did not that much with it. My own first PC was a 286 if I remember correctly with a 16 Mb harddisk. Wow - those were the times! ![]() Jacqueline ![]() |
