| Now, I learn animation ![]() | My website looks fine with IE but not Safari I am building a website just on my hard drive as of now. I then transferred it to a USB jump drive. I had my unlce bring his Mac laptop over and the site looks funky with the Safari GUI. What gives? Is this normal? |

| Respect the Dawg! ![]() | what looks funky?...and what version of safari? also, go here http://validator.w3.org/ you can only test this on a live page but you should always use this, before making the site "live". you will get LOTS of error, most you don't have to worry about,(This page you are looking at right now contains 173 errors) but it can give you a hint of what is going on. and another thing. if you are using style sheets, you need to make sure that your pages are properly linked to them, or they wont work on your uncle's machine |

| Now, I learn animation ![]() | I simply used an image for the background with DreamWeaver. Safari brang up the image but the hypertext links/text are not placed in the same place in Safari as they are with IE. Have you ever had this happen? Maybe it would be better to use the layers tool in DreamWeaver to insert text an images vs using a back groud image an just typing text/hypertext links with out a layers box. I thought that using an image as a back ground would be best. I think it might be wise for me to get a real cheap Mac if I want to do web desing for money. |
