| Brian ![]() | You probably need an all round app to start with. Just a modelling app on its own is not much good. Carrara does have very good modelling, especially the Pro version. (C6Pro is excellent) Hexagon is sort of the next stage. Try the download of the Carrara5Pro trial--it will give you an idea.(The C6 trila version may be a while away still.) |

| Now, I learn animation ![]() | I like Carrara and think it is a good program but Hexagon is much better for modeling. On the other hand Carrara is a good all in one program and you may not need all the modeling tools in Hexagon. It is rumored that Carrara 7 will get a new modeling room. I was hoping Carrara 6 would get the dissasociate tool and the bend tool of Hexagon among other things. Hexagon does rock if you need the extra modeling features. | Doodlin' Dude ![]() | what rickei said X 10 - for modeling as opposed to rendering Hexagon does not render... it is a modeling application. just look at some of the many hexagon tutorials in the tutorials section of Polyloop Perhaps these could be modeled in Carrara, but I wouldn't want to tackle it. There are many better samples of Hexagon work in this forum than what I can do. |

| Doodlin' Dude ![]() | Thanks. The heart was for an article was about bad relationships. I suggested a title, which they used. "Love Hurts" - - (was a song title by I forget who) We've all been there, chin up, fuzzy one (I guess you are feeling better, I thought that fuzzy eared critter had bit the dust) "No weapon formed against (you) shall prosper..." - - from a good source |
