FTP Server Software

I want to setup a ftp server on my computer, but I don't know which software to use. I'd rather not pay for anything, (saving up for a Wacom tablet) so a free one will suffice. I remember there being a popular one, but I cant remember its name. Does anyone know of any?

Uh... I dont like the the fact that there are security risks involved. And since I'm not much of a techie, i'll probally end up doing something wrong and comprimising my system.

Not that much.
Off course like every software, there is a potential risk.
If you read the manual, it will work just like a charm.

May i ask why you want to have a ftp on your personal computer ?

I'm always on the move, wheather it be school, travel, or justa visit to a friend. And I always seem to forget something. I try to cram everything on my 2 gig flash drive, but not everything can fit. I'd love to buy a new one, or maybe even a laptop, bas as you know, i'm saving for a Wacom.
