A free 3D paint proggy, and texture maker

Hi all; found this surfing around at sourceforge:

Name: SharpConstruct

http://sharp3d.sourceforge.net/media....php/Main_Page

You can actually paint 3D models real time with it, and it's free

Make sure you download all 3 files it says to use it though, and so far it only seems to support .obj and .lwo.. I have win2k and it works, can't say it will with other OS.

Also here is a little texture making tool, free also:

http://www.paurex.com

Cheers

You're welcome. Just my way of giving back something to the community for helping me with my modeling skills, or I should say lack of that is

That paint is a little "different" I guess..but it has the features I need..the paint stays inside the model border, has undo, and of course it's free

Seems to have some other stuff it does too, not sure of that yet though

Send a message via Yahoo to Couerl
I checked it out and it displaces a sphere, cube or plane and is actually kinda slick. Exports .obj, but I can't see how to export an mtl or color or map or anything like that. I'll be interested to see how 3D painting develops over the next year or two and would also like to see some aspects of 2d painting incorporated as well into someting so you could do almost all if not all of your texturing, painting, cropping etc... "In house". That'd be nice.

Have a look also at moi3d.com. Note that both are betas and have some problems with handling large files . Both worthy to keep a close eye on.
