My brand new WIP...

This is the WIP I have been working on in trueSpace.

Don't look at me like that. It's going to end up in Carrara when it's done...

Anyway, I haven't added hands, toes or defined the back yet but it is meant to be the base for any other human models I need to create.

C&C welcome...

The end result looks good but looking at the working enviorenment of trueSpace makes me "nervous". I think Hexagon might be much easer to work in. What you get used to I guess.

Trust me, it took a long time to get used to. I imagine that Hexagon would be easier, but in my trials the mirror model function just wasn't as intuitive as the one in trueSpace.

In trueSpace I click a button and I have a mirrored instance.

When I am done editing the master instance I hit a button and i have an object joining the two instances.

In the Hexagon trial, I had to place the plane just right after I found the function that would mirror my model in the first place.

Once one adjusts to the interface, it becomes apparent that many things (as far as modelling goes) are where they need to be and for the most part require only the push of a button to activate or access.

The problem with trueSpace is in all the things that are not there or are there but just don't work.

Though I must admit, I didn't become productive in trueSpace until I bought a set of 3rd party plugins (Polytools by CKGameFactory) and trueMirror.

If Eovia could give Carrara symmetrical modelling capabilities as intutitive as trueSpace's, I don't think I would need tueSpace anymore. Hell I wouldn't need Hexagon. Which is what makes me nervous about Hexagon. I feel that some of the neater modelling tools will skip Carrara and go to Hexagon.
