Photoshop question

I don't see a PhotoShop area in this section, so I'll just post my question here.

There are two files saved in the same version of PhotoShop, and as far as I know saved exactly the same. You will note an 8 at the end of one and an 8 with a "#" on the other file.
Both are cmyk 8bit .eps files.

Maybe you can tell me what the "#" means?
(See the attachment)

thanks

Hello Nate,

First, sorry for my english. I'm a french photoshop user

I'm not sure of that, but I think the "#" means that the file is saved with another color profile.
Choose "Edition/Attribuer un profil ou Convertir un profil" (Edit/Choose or Convert profil?), and it will be ok.

thats right

" 8# " means 8-bit UNTAGGED image.

" 8* "means it's a tagged 8-bit image file with an embedded profile which is different from your working space.

edit"
just "8" means you are using the working space profile

Allright!

I'm not sure where you would find the meanings of these little emblems... couldn't see it in PS help, and I didn't want to go read all the PS white papers at Adobe.

Thanks for shining the light on this one
