Carrara and Daz. - Polyloop

Eovia would always anounce the next upgrade date about 2 months prior to shipping. Carrara is stagnant to me do to the fact that we do not have an upgrade or even an indication that version 6 will be here anytime soon. It would have been wise to offer Mac support with version 6 rather than waste time implementing it in version 5.

Some info has leaked out about Carrara 6. Daz has made mention of better content support and Daz Studio support. This info has lead me to seek out an alternative. The Bryce upgrades under Daz have been a complete joke and I think Carrara may follow suite. I do not want it to happen but I have to be real about the new ownership of Carrara.

Or they merely are rounding out the new features? Perhaps the new feature set is so extensive that it is taking longer? Its not unreasonable to think Daz might even lengthen the development length.

Not to mention few are considering that after C5 they took time to develop a macintel port of C5. Something that took maybe 4-6 months. It will be quite amusing when C6 comes out and everyone is surprised about what it includes. It might have everything you've been wanting, or it might just have some of what you want. I will promise that nothing comes from a negative viewpoint.

Good point. Thread split and this portion locked. (no point in closing a perfectly good discussion) I believe Thomas himself stated discussions like this should stop. I shouldn't have responded to it myself. I apologize for that. Now please feel free to stay on topic and compare C5 and Truespace.
