Vue too.. If it's a Carrara render, then, it should have take a couple of days to render (blurry reflections + colored shadows, something that Carrara can't do except if you trick)
Except that, this kind of image can be done in most render engine

Vue or Bryce, I've never used either of them so i can't tell but I don't think it's Carrara.

First Some critics to improve it because it's a good picture wich can be a great render !
Leather is to shiny for me.
Zip is a little to smooth and regular.
I don't like the wooden floor were it's reflecting . But the texture is fine !

I don't know wich renderer it's could be, a lot of renderer can done this ... How much rendertime ?

hi kemal. i have illustrated a few bags for my company. There's a few things which I would try to improve. First is the bump on the leather. On your image, it looks less like leather, and more like a moulded plastic with leather texturing (i mean the literal definition of texture - having a rough surface). This is something i am trying to improve in my own technique as well . Another thing is the leather looks incredibly stiff. Usually there would be some wrinkling or sagging somewhere (even on a very stiff bag). Maybe also you would see areas around the corners which are "nipped and tucked". Also i don't see any edges of the leather panels. Most panels are sewn on top of each other, so you see an edge. Or they might be sewn up within a round piping. Also i don't see any stitches... And here are some things which i think you nailed perfectly - the "inked" leather edge which is visible around the zipper, the pewtery finish on the hardware, the injection acrylic "tortoise" material of the handle. Those are damn near perfect!

shorty

think its Carrara

the reflection on floor inside the shadowed area tells me it is probably a Carrara render.

Thanks for your comment, guys.

I'm well aware of the modeling (and rendering for that matter) flaws

Model is my second subD one I made in trial version of SILO in September 2004 (those were baby steps for me at the time ). Render is as it is (only saturation was decreased a bit) and was also done in 2004...

No, you did not pass or fail. You needed to participate in the poll in order to.

Hmph... I got the free Bryce 5.5 and installed it and opened it and it crashed on opening. I never did get it fixed, although I didn't really try hard either.
That's the nicest looking Bryce render I've seen anywhere. Great job.
