Ultimate Unwrap?

Do any of you have experience with Ultimate Unwrap 3d and how do you like it compared to UVMapper Pro (if you've used it too)? After using the Ultimate Unwrap demo for a bit I think I'd like to buy it but I haven't been able to find any forums for the program to get a better idea of what users think about it. It's inexpensive so I'm not concerned about the cost but rather the time investment that comes after. I've only seen one thread elsewhere where a guy made mention of it and he did like it. I've been using UVMapper Pro for quite a while and I like it but I'd like to have the extra capabilities available in Ultimate Unwrap. Thanks for any guidance.

Hiya.

I've been using UltimateUnwrap3D for about a year or two now. I love it! As soon as Hexagon gets it's UV/Painting fixed I will probably be using it as well. But for the ability to quickly UV a model...UU3D is *very* good at it's job. As an added bonus, it has a bazillion different import and export formats...so I use it as a 'converter' between various programs (Hex, Softimage and three different game engines I need to export to).

Thankyou very much, Plum. Good enough for me. I'll buy it. I was skittish only because I'd seen so little mention of it in various forums.

Yes. For the price alone, it can't be beat. It gets frequent updates as well...something that can't be said for *some* programs of late. ;)

I often use Ultimate Unwrap.
It's not the best but at least it's helpfull and cheap.
(Do not forget to load the plugins..fbx, bvh (really helpfull), ai, etc..)
Really I appreciate Ultimate Unwrap..Even if, once again, it does not have edge selection , and even if I often have to clear undos.
