i've played with it a bit over the last year. It has some really great potential. Probably the best feature of it is directional painting while using images/alphas as a brush. I have created some really nice repeat patterns that i couldn't have done otherwise. Also, it has great potential for creating bump maps, textures, and backgrounds for work in 3D rendering.
