I know there are a few other users here. I think it might be a cool idea to start a forum here. Also maybe a shader share. Hey I am a newbie at it but want to see a few places to talk about it. |

As much as I'm a supporter of Messiah. I don't think a forum here would be very active. If you can show that it would be worthwhile I'll bring it up to Thomas. (those Messiah users rally and post works in progress and questions)

Dann-O, I'm curious about PMG Messiah. I've read alot about it. It seems interesting. Is it easy to pick up? Most people hold Hash's Animation Master as a very solid/simple method for animating. Is PMG just as easy, or is it more involved? Thanks, John |

It is relativly easy to animate and rig in. Here is what I like you can use your own models. Hash you really need to use hash models. I can import models made in wings hex etc. and render and animate in messiah. Hash's modeler is the thing that made me nto look at hash. I have had messiah for less than a week already made a primitive rig. With some practice I can do better. Messiah has a few more features I need to delve into. One quirk I find is that there is subdivision surfacing but it is metanurbs so you must keep it all quads or well it won't render. Here you can see a short and read about its prouction in messiah. There eare quite a few top notch animations doen in Messiah. (plus if you later get a lot of cash and buy 3DS C4D XSI or lightwave you can still use messiah as an animation plug in) Nichod knows more I am a newbie. |

So you consider it relatively easy to get into Dann-o? Thanks for the feedback. I looked at it awhile back, and it looks good. It may be something I consider in the future. Ease of use is always real important to me. I'd much rather use my time quickly, rather than learn an obscure/difficult utility. Thanks! John |
