Softimage seems to be better than 3ds max, it is my opinion, what you think?

I tried majority of free 3D software, i have 3ds max7, gmax, and some landscape software. I tried softimage XSI and it seems to me good for modeling, models made in Softimage are very realistics( I think more than 3ds max) ,in 3ds max is harder to make very realistic .Sorry for this, very mutch of 3ds max models look like toys.Softimage is very powerful, it is eassier make model little sculpting.
What you think? Is better use Softimage than 3ds max? We can see that some companies move from 3ds max to Softimage. This is my opinion and What is yours?
Thanks

Softimage is powerful. But so is 3ds Max. I think its all a matter of opinion. I will say the big advantage Max has over Softimage is that it offers much more support of the various formats within the gaming industry than Softimage. I'm not sure what studios you see switching from Max to Softimage, I'd like to hear your sources and the studios.

I have tried trial versions of commercial software like this-
Carrara , Cinema, Lightwave, Rhinoceros , Silo, Mudbox , ZBrush , thats a pitty that I cant run Sharpconstruct and Modo ( I get error )
I also have Bryce, terragen, CB Model PRO , Gimp , milkshape 3D,

And one thing, I prefer lowpoly modeling software for games

The quality of what you create does not just depend on the software, but on your own prowess with it. There is no "magic button" to get high quality stuff. Lots of work, knowledge, and testing is involved. That said, some software is more oriented to specific purposes, but in the right hands, any software can build breathtaking stuff, and in the wrong hands, even ultraexpensive-with-all-available-extensions-and-plugins-software will give horrible results.

Hey man I know that quality of your work doesnt depend on quality of software, professional quality software enable you completive work in 3D, very fast and eficient and in higher quality. I am interesting in make maps for game and i need to know 3D software,. I only search whitch software is good for my work. And man sorry for this it isnt important but i have secondary Art school ( glass) and it is + for graphics I hope.) really sorry for this) my problem is technical side on software. Anything I see and i can imagine I am able to draw on paper.I draw everything for my friends - characters, landscapes and more. And I think that it is possible to make in 3D on PC.
Sorry that I cant show some work, i learn 3d 7 month and i got tired, i learn mapping in enemy territory and 3D soft, start with Anim8or and try all free stuff move to 3ds max and gmax, Bryce. Work in graphics is very hard and very time consuming and I am young ( 25 ) and want to live not to sit at home. sometime Ill present my work here and i want to my work people like and do it for them. sorry for my English
Good luck all

Lol, busted.

Even people who claim that they tried beta of Mudbox are most of the time full of BS. There is only a handfull of beta testers as of now...

I hate when this happens, people who do not pay for the software should be banned forever. That is why I like E-on's secured forum server, no illegals there...

Kic, support the software companies, man, and show some respect, owner of this forum works for one of them, that is his bread and butter
