Hi,

thanks to Thomas for creating this sub forum.

As i asked for it, i thought id say hello, and welcome..

im not a lightwave user yet, but will be getting my version 9 soon,

so if anyone else here uses lightwave of any version, and integrates it into their workflow, please let us know of your work and ideas.

also any plugins you feel are worthwhile knowing about and any related websites.

im not a 3d guru of any sort, a hobbyist more like, and i feel carrara and lightwave, plus hex and silo make a formidible (did i spell that right) team...

your views and critiques most welcome..

so happy 3d-ing....

Tony

Hi Wavers,
I've made the switch from Hexagon/Carrara to LW9. I'm currently learning it using Kurv Studios DVD i'm quite happy with... Still a long way to do, but i'm happy with MW so far

hi pete...

i like the look of the kurv video tutes, are they worth the money..?

i prefer video tutorials as opposed to a pdf manual, much easier to learn.. the silo tutes look good also...

Hi there. Got lightwave with the vue bundle, but still have not had much time to learn it properly.

I didn't saw that question before...

I've bought LW :From the beginning + vehicule modeling DVDs, following the recommendations i had from the Kurv Forum. I'm running the Essential first, and it's pretty well done, the only "bad" thing i could find was that the speaker sometimes forgot to give the shorcut key sequence he's using
, just taliking about the tool itself he is using ....The rest is very good to me.
Another thing i appreciate, is the Kurv Forum itself. Even if a few people are registered, all the questions asked are answered, so you're not get stuck into something you did not understand. I had also a warm welcome other there

For the rest, as i've learned Amapi/hexagon/carrara more or less on my own, any DVD training seems marvellous to me ! ... so i cannot compare to other training session, but i can say that at the moment, it does fit my needs...
