Soceer ball

Mabey there its a way to make a Soccer ball, Here is my version in hexagon 2

Here is a Fast video of How I maded the ball using some of the spteps from a wings 3d tutorial, The thing is that Hexagon don`t have Inflate Feature

if you know a better way to do the ball more rounded in hexagon please give my the answer

mayito7777...it's a .swf file that will be located in your
Temporary Internet Files directory once you've viewed the page.

It's 6.42mb and is called test.swf ;)

There's also a tut in the 3dxtract collection, it's a Hex 1 tutorial,
all of the 3dxtract issues are available on this site.
It's in the July-August issue of 2005, starts on page 58.

When I chamfer the points, I get triangles instead of pentagons...

Just to post the result in Amapi 8. The pattern selection, temporary selection and the inflate tool helps a lot!

Mox: can I use your tutorial to create the same for Amapi 8?

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Using Hex 2.1, when I get to the smoothing portion the main faces turn to circles - using the same tool (from the surfaces modeling tab) and the same range (2).

bummer, seems like this tutorial is no longer available.

Just found this as I was trying to figure out how to make a soccerball with hexagon..
Found few for 3ds though..
