Modeling a Sports Watch

There are two pdf's for this tutorial on modeling a sports watch using Hexagon. The tutorial assumes that the viewer will be familiar with techniques from the Digital Camera tutorial. The emphasis for this tutorial will be using lines and surface tools to create the watch. Top, side and front views are provided if reference images are desired during the modeling process. I hope everyone finds it usefull.

After much trial and error with resolution vs. file size I have lowered the resolution slightly but it should still be visible to see each screen capture for the appropriate steps. Any feedback on this is welcome.

Great Tutorial, Grendel. Easy to follow and alot of fun.
Still trying out the demo of Hexagon but, because of your Tutorials, I've started to learn what this program can do and will probably purchase it.

Please keep them coming. Thank you.

Looks Like a great Tut there..
Can't wait to give it a go.
Is there a part 3 & 4 also, or
is it all in 1,2,5&6 only.
I d'loaded the jpg's of the 3 views OK.
Thanks so much for this.

Hello

I have just started working with 3D programs and have Hexagon 2.2 and Carrara 5. Any advice on on learning progression would be helpful.

Thanks

Paul

Hey, I don't have the URL handy, but find "polyloop" for a bunch of Hexagon tutorials.
Also the DAZ, "FORUMS" is full of stuff. Hex & Carrera too.
Really nice if you can have a second monitor set up on the side and Hex running too.
Just follow the tut's and keep notes as you go, so you don't forget what you did..
For each Tut, then, try another version of your own with variations.
\
Use just pencil & paper if you have to, that way when you have the time again you can just refer to your notes.
There is MUCH to learn here, so keep your information organized somehow, as it gets heavy, real quick, with this stuff.
Say hello again soon, good luck.
JA
