[Hex 1.2] Video: modelling a water mineral bottle

Maxime, one of the Hexagon developper, has made a 12 min video tutorial, which show how to model a water bottle with Hexagon 1.2 and its new selection tools and Symmetry.

No audio is avialable in this tutorial, but in the first part of the video, no shortcuts are used, but after, tools like selection loops/rings are used with their shortcuts.

The only feature unavailable from a shorcut, is the extended selection, which is available from draging your mouse while CTRL key is press.

I am trying to duplicate the procedure used for making the bottle top threads... Everything is fine until it is time to flatten the top and bottom of the helix after the two welds.. When I select the edge and loop the selection my x,y,z tool is not aligned any more to the axis anymore therefore when I tray and flatten the edges it rotates.. i will post a pic as I now realize this description is confusing me LOL I Will post pic in a few seconds..

EDIT I just realized I posted this under the tutorial... If I should not have could a mod please move it... Sorry

Thanks.

I wish to thank Thomas for the tut. I did it a time back and really enjoyed it. I modified the bottle a little and added a label. I rendered it in Carrara 5 Pro.

Nice rendering. Looks like the real thing. I've never been able to render transparent objects as real as that looks.

Btw, the background seems too bright and it washes up the well-rendered bottles. Or it may be my monitor's gamma.
