Hum, please, do not forget what Carrara was at version3 and even 4 and what is it now. The step was huge, don't forget it, please.
I understand that the ones who have chosen Carrara for animation purpose or poser or Daz' figures import ,etc are in front of some borring bugs but those who've chosen Carrara for stills images, with their own models seems to be satisfied.
Carrara was not meant to be the friendly partner of the two softs mentioned above. At least until now.
I'm still confident.

Ooh yeah

I, for one, will not heap praise or scorn upon DAZ for what they've done to Carrara and Hexagon until they actually have a chance to do something.

About DAZ website, Ringo, do you have some news? Bob said that they were working on a new website and if i remember, more focused on the software (or a part dedicated to the software), and also an updated forum.
It's now 5 month that it has been announced, it seems long...

Now that IS a scary thing about DAZ. Everything seems to take sooo long.

Just look at Bryce 6 and the results after all that time.

Sure, DAZ needs time...but. I guess DAZ has no sense of urgency for anything. They have their strong content business so everything and everyone that is software oriented can just wait..............

The entire store had to be redone first and its in beta to near final stage. The website stuff should fall into place soon after.

I don't know that that is entirely true - if you look on the front page of the DAZ Gallery Hall Of Fame there are 4 Carrara renders that contain almost no DAZ content (the exception being my render of the Nordic village which contains a DAZ ship - a minor part of the whole scene though).

Personally I'm not into playing with dolls - unless of course someone pays me. He He.
I still love Carrara 5. I just hated it when it freezes up. Or that wheel of torture never stops. Pretty much same thing I think. For a Mac User.
