| Rounding off edges of objects. How!
Ok here's a simple one: I want to start out with a simple shape. Either a basic object or something I create with a spline object. Then I want to be able to round off it's edges. I try to do this by converting the object to a Vertex object and then try to fillet it. Comes out like crap! Also If I try to start with a vertex cube and change it to a rectangle I cant remove any of the facet cubes without wrecking the cube structure. The only thing I have been able to fillet successfuly is a cube vertex object. WHAT do I need to do to make this work! Driving me crazy here... |

cant seem to untriangulate - select the offending polys that are divided in triangles that you wish to unite and > Model > Untriangulate Polygon

1,Yes - 2,but you can use different smoothing ratios for rendering to round off edges without the need for filleting. Smoothing can be applied to differrent areas of the mesh to smooth some edges whilst leaving others crisp.
