particle box

I experimenting with the particle emitter( love the tutorial) and I was wondering if the particle emitter could have clip as a color. Cause I wan't to hacve a cube playing the same clip in all of its sides, but in the end it disolve in to small particles or it breaks, just like the tutorial. Is it possible?

Make a cube, set different domains for different faces, use a layers list shader and put your movie clip into each domain in the color channel. Then in the assembly room after the movie is over apply a explode modifer to your cube and blow it up. Example Attached.

If you want to use metaballs to cover a cube you would have to put your movie in a spotlight as a gel and use it like a projector to view it on your metaball(screen) surface. Then follow the text tutorial and make the cube drop to the ground and have the camera follow it down to maintain the image on the Screen.

I like the explosion modifier, I may use it.

But if I want to use the particles do I have to six emitter?( one for each side), because rasing the amount won't cover all the sides, but reducing the size of the cube will, but its to small.

I still will try the modifier.

Just one emitter will cover the cube, you have to adjust the size and number of particles to get the coverage you want.
