Surface replicators problem I think...not sure

1. I create a mountain & say 5000 chunks of grass.....My replication fluctuates in the upper 3000's it won't give the amount I state

2. I create a terrain with a surface replicator & import....at times(it's willy nilly) the saved .car imports with or w/out the replicated surface.

For example, the pic I'm working on now has 3 terrains with surface replication...all imported as .car...I created separatley & imported. I decided I needed a 4th, so I created & imported, the terrain came in w/out the replication & yes it was grouped prior to importing.

Have I missed something? Or is there a set limit on what's allowed in the pic?

Thanks

What you are saying overwhelms ME! I feel sorry for the computer--but what you seem to want to do seems very complicated. With point two, if you can replicate both the good efforts and the bad efforts, and save each separately, mabe you should forward to Eovia directly. It's too much for Eovia to watch all threads--they need direct input!

If you are not getting the maximum number of objects then you have 3 options- Make your objects smaller, make your terrain larger, or reduce the minimum distance between objects. If you are using a shader to affect distribution, this can reduce the number of objects. You can create another replicator using the same terrain to increase the density of objects on the surface. There could be a limit to the number of terrain replicators you are using, but I think it is computer power. As for your problem with chunks of grass, try creating a chunk with more grass that requires fewer replications to fill out the terrain, or use several different chunks in your replicator. It is not a bug, but a function of the replication parameters.
