| Hot point positioning -- Assm & Model Rms
I would like to be able to easily move and rotate the Hot point in both Assemble and Model rooms using the translate and rotate manipulators. With Caps Lock on I only seem to be able to grab the center of the hot point and move it in the active plane. It's much easier to position it accurately using the single-axis manipulators. I also want to be able to rotate the hot point so I can then easily rotate the object about any arbitrary axis.

In the animation room you can change the hot point of any object to allow you to rotate an object around another object. I do it with the camera for orbital pans. If the object is dead center you just enter in 0,0,0 for the X,Y and Z axis. If I want to rotate an object around another object I just enter in the coordinates of the object I want to rotate around. That way you are dead center for the rotation around the object.

What I want to do is to position and orient the hot point anywhere in the assemble room. And I would like a true 'object' coordinate system option for the hot point in the Assemble room (I currently only see world and local). Now, when I tilt an object (like a cone), the hot point translation axes snap back to what looks like the 'world' coordinate system regardless of whether I have 'world' or 'local' selected. I want to tilt a cone, and have its local or object translation axes stay tilted so I can slide it up and down along its axis of rotation. I'm new to Carrara and can't find a simple way to do this currently.

When we switch to world, than rotating manipulator should always go to world setting, every time you select your object. In other words, manipulator should have more control than it has now, and of course, should be universal as well in assembly room
