Hiya,
I was playing around with the shader definitions and tried to create a diamond shader and was stopped at the refraction index of the shader that displayed me 2 decimals and swallowed the last digit of the refractive index of 2.417. So I wondered if the last digit is only not displayed but stored internally or if it is cut off.
And since we are at refractive indexes ... does the ray casting model of Carrara assume a vacuum in the scene (1.0) or atmospheric pressure (1.000293) for times rays are not "inside" material definitions?
Sorry for my English ... German here
