| Translucency
I have read through the manual but can find no reference to the translucency section other than that in the SSS. IS there some setting that needs to be set for this to show up. It doesnt appear to do anything so far in my experiments. I have switched on transparency and light through Trans. Probably something I am missing. ;) Thanks Mike R

No problem. Decided not to use it as it gave my characters shadow an xray look. wierd. (Might have been a mixture of using fake fresnel as well though.) Cheers Mike R

What is the best way to use translucency? In trees, I tried to use value but it seemed to turn the leaves white. Using a lighter shade of green seems to work better but I'm not sure if this is the proper method for translucency. Any tips? Thanks. |

| 5.0.3 Translucency
It also seems that with the 5.0.3 update you need to have "Full Raytracing" turned on for translucency t work properly too. A scene of mine was just not looking the same as it was with 5.0.2 until I turned full raytracing on.
