Carrara 5 Standard - Polyloop

Had a search of the forum and couldn't find this answer.....

Does Carrara 5 Standard recognize and use multi-processor systems (I know it can't network render)? I was wondering if i upgraded to a duel Xeon system, would I see an improvement over my single processor AMD 3400+ 64 bit system ?

I notice it does have a network render option below the hyperthreading for 'batch queue' - what is this used for ?

Does the Grid plugin allow network render on the standard edition ?

You need to Carrara 5 Pro to use the network rendering. The network rendering option is only enabled in the Pro version.
