Puke Just Starting

Just got hold of Carrara 3, although I know it is an older version I wanted to start cheaply and then as I get to understand it upgrade to a later version.
I am after tutorials for Beginners that will help me to get to grips with the program.
The manual that came bundled with Carrara 3 is not very good at all.

Thanks for any help

The manual does explain the features on the whole without perhaps giving you the inspiration to get started in creating a 3d project. However if it did it would be a very large manual indeed.

I would look into getting the Carrara 3 Handbook by Mike De La Flor. You may find it discounted or used for cheap because the Carrara 5 version will be released relatively soon.

Some of the tutorials in this book are differcult but it will give you a good overall on the features and procedures needed to accomplish things.

In a bit of an advanced topic, I have a series of UV Editor tutorials that will apply to Carrara 3 on my website. However, the other tutorials are C5 or plugin specific.

Whoopie !!!!!!! Look forward to that Thomas, Please remember users like myself and have tuts for V3 and V4 as well as V5. This way the Carrara user base will grow as users get to grips with the program and upgrade to later versions.

I think more video tutorials will inspire people to buy Carrara. 3DS MAX and Hash AM have tutorials that go indepth.
