Unseen to camera - invisible to render - not to objects

Perhaps there is already a feature for this, I havn't found it.

e.g I want to add and control local reflections from an invisible cube (invisible to render but not to objects) that surounds a reflective object to gain specific control on reflections

Can you render two images? One with the cube and one without. Then use a program like PhotoShop to merge the two together to get what you want. I can think of situations where this won't work all that well.

zekaric , many thanks for your suggested workaround.

Hopefully this feature will be added in the future.

You might want to look into the Shader Plus plugin by the Digital Carvers Guild. It has some interesting features and this reminds me of something I've read there.
