Render node

Hello, today I tried to render with the help of another PC. I know that the network settings do work well and so I started Carrara and loaded a scene into the Batchlist, activated the network rendering (adjusted the portsettings), started the render node on the other PC and lauchend the render at my PC.
After that My PC started to precalcualte the lighting setting. This took a long time and after that I got the message, that one render node in the system is too old and that it therefore will not be used to render.
So I canceled, deactivated the firewall on the other PC and restarted the whole procedure again.
This time my PC precalculated the lighting-setting and then started to render. But nothing happend on the render node on the other PC.

So my question: How is a network-render supposed to look at the other PCs and how do I activate it correctly (the windows task-manager told me that my Pcs CPU usage was on 100% and the other PCs CPU usage was on 10%)?
Perhaps it will helpme if someone tells me his experiences with the render node.

Best regards JuST

Hi Just
I had that same message occur... There has been an update on the render node.. Is that the version you have installed on the other PC ?
I installed the updated Node from the downloads section on eovia and all was fine from there.

As far as the Second PC I just start the prgrm and then minimize it.. and use it when its called for.

Hope this helps. I am very new to the node as well

Hi Corndog,
thank you very much for your fast answer... I do not know exactly what the problem was, but the update solved it. I didn't recognize that there was an update (how stupid one can be sometimes...tse). So thank you very much... this solved it. Now the rendering node on the second PC renders with mine

I am just happy to finally help someone as I have been getting help like crazy. I am brand new to Eovia products and a application of this magnitude so I have been asking numerous questions.
