Cool

Welcome !

Your shaders are nice, but under Carrara 4 the reflexion and transparency of the 4 are red color !
(see attached files rendered in an empty scene)
Moreover, the SFCI needs 2 maps for the second source.

Whatever, after some fixings it's working well.

Four Shaders

I was not sure they would work under Carrara 4. Under five they work great.

I will look into this to see if I can do somthing about this.

If you have been able to fix this issue under 4 please share your correction procedure.

In the meantime I will post them for use in Carrara 5.

Thanks.

Thanks Marc! When will you have more shaders available for C5?

Also can these 4 free shaders be used for commercial projects?

cSHADERS

Looking to have a set of 50 by the end of the month.

These will include: Metals, Glass, Tile, Brick, Concrete and Fabrics.

You may use the shaders for any pupose you like.

Also, I added an additional shader to the group - Narley Brick plus I corrected the SCFI shader to add the internal maps.

I also run another web site which requires a lot of work and updates to product.

http://2v2sac.com/2V2SAC/index.html

This takes up a lot of my time between the Airplanes, Consulting and raising a 13 year old boy.

I corrected the SCFI shader plus added a new one to the group. You may want to download again.

Thanks,

Marc

The wood shaders need to be remade in Carrara so that they scale more easily. The lumber yard is really cool, but it's hard just using global scale to get good results because not all of the wood shaders follow the same procedure. if that makes any sense. So its hard for me at least to get some or even many of them "right"...

Wood Shaders?

I think you have me confused with another developer. I have not yet made a wood shader.

Hi again,

I had other issues with the shaders under C4.
All have a red reflextion and transparency. To fix it, I just changed the channels from color (red) to value (9%) and put transparency to none.
After this small fix, it's cool (see attached file).

The SFCI is great, no map missing, but when having a look in the channel list, I see a bump channel with an empty texture map (but, I've not been asked to replace it when using this shader)...

I had a new issue about the heavy metal. I had a red color (plus the tranparency an reflection)
I just removed it. The render is quite nice.

Good job, this small issues are nothing comparing the the quality of this shaders !

cSHADERS

This is good information. It is my intention to provide cSHADERS for Carrara 4 as well. I will pay attention to your observations and make sure they are created correctly to work in 4.

Good job and thanks.
